Some Information for Parents
Provincial legislation in Ontario requires that we take every step to protect the personal and private information of every applicant, student, and staff member. This legislation is the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA).
In order for Fanshawe College to fulfill the requirements of this legislation, we require that students authorize Fanshawe College to release any information related to their application and/or student record to a third party (this includes parents).
The protection of your student’s information is something that we consider important at Fanshawe College, and because we guard that information carefully, we need your student to tell us, in writing, who can access their record.
